RumpelKiste is a rhythm composer in the spirit of the classic 1984 drum machine, rebuilt voice by voice from its original circuit diagrams and tuned against recordings of the real thing, with not a single sample inside.
The kick holds and drops the way it should, the snare snaps, the toms sing in tune with each other, the rim shot cracks and rings, and the hats and cymbals run through the same gritty six-bit path as the original. Program it on the built-in step sequencer with accents, flams, shuffle and a bank of sixty-four chainable patterns, let the groove generator throw ideas at you, or play it straight from your host.
When you want it dirtier, send any voice through the drive bus and its ten distortion models. Free for Linux and Windows, as CLAP and VST3.
